You no longer have to invest in the bacon air freshener for your car. Now you can drive and smell that comforting bacon smell by running your car on bacon biodiesel.
It's the biofuel of choice for a pair of entrepreneurs building their business on pig fat. Dan and Tracy Kaderabek, Bio-Blend Fuels has a three-acre processing plant in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. "The pork gets run through microwaves to make precooked bacon, the grease falls off and that's what we use," Dan tells the Manitowoc Herald Reporter. I wonder if you really get the bacon smell. Could be nice for a while. But how long can you live with it?
