I am no vegan, instead I am an end stage renal patient (kidney failure). As a consequence dairy products and something I have had to remove from my diet. The Rice Dream Ice cream is an excellent way for me to have one of my favorite treats with out putting excessive calcium into my body. So, I wouldn't call it un-American, the fact that someone came up with yet another product for the open market is one of the most of American things a person can do.
